This training will provide a comprehensive overview of key federal program requirements, important deadlines, and monitoring expectations to help you confidently manage your district’s ESEA programs.
Training Dates
Part 1: August 3, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
● Focus on responsibilities and requirements from August through December
● Review critical deadlines, compliance requirements, and program implementation activities for the first half of the school year
Part 2: December 7, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
● Focus on responsibilities and requirements from January through July
● Prepare for spring monitoring activities, end-of-year requirements, carryover considerations, and planning for the upcoming school year
What Will Be Covered?
Using the Federal Programs Calendar and ESEA Tiered Monitoring Self-Monitoring Checklist as our guides, participants will receive practical information and tools related to:
● Federal Programs timelines and deadlines
● ESEA compliance requirements
● Monitoring preparation and documentation
● Program implementation expectations
● Programmatic responsibilities
● Parent and family engagement requirements
● Equitable services considerations
● End-of-year reporting and planning activities

$250 per participant

About the Presenters
The training will be facilitated by Julie Cowell and Theresa Villmer, retired Missouri DESE Federal Programs staff with more than 60 years of combined experience in education and extensive expertise in ESEA program administration, monitoring, and compliance.
